Wind has always been a source of fear and fascination for humans. At times destructive, it is also crucial to the advancement of life on earth…pollinating plants and dispersing species, propelling vessels and powering machines.
Today, we can describe the physical principles behind this mighty resource, but still haven’t learned how to fully exploit it. So researchers have turned to Mother Nature for inspiration, studying how plants, insects and birds adapt to it. Their challenge now is to invent the technology that can transform this invisible force into an infinite source of energy.
